Struggling With Words

4-16-2007

I've thought about typing up my thoughts and comments on this horrendous tragedy ever since Monday afternoon. But each time I draw a blank. My thoughts have circled around the state of the world and the direction it's been heading in, then looked at the possible positives that could arise, but none of that really matters at this exact moment. What matters right now is remembering those who lost their lives and their friends and family who must move on with an empty void left in their hearts.

We all have at least one person whom we hold so very dear to our hearts. Someone that is essential to us every day of our lives. An individual who we think of with most every passing breath. No matter who that person is, s/he is the person you want to speak with every moment of every day; the person who brings that smile to your face and heart when you see her/his name displayed on your cell phone.

The families and friends of those 32 people at Virginia Tech have lost that person, at least in this world. And for that, I have no words I can offer. There is nothing I, or anyone else, can say to help fill the newly created void. So, I offer my daily prayers and my heartfelt tears to them. Though I know that none of them will ever read this blog, I still offer that. It's all I can do...
